Thanks for your interest in CrimeOnline.Net, a web site and user forum for crime fiction writers and readers.
Crime Online offers the following:
1. A weekly feature about or by a participating author, reader, or professional from the publishing business or some other area of interest to writers and readers of crime fiction (law enforcement, forensics, psychology, medicine, and so on). The feature may be an interview or introduction of an author's latest book, an essay on the contributor's area of expertise, or a contribution from a community member on some other topic of interest.
2. The CrimeOnline.Net discussion forum. This forum is the heart of CrimeOnline.Net and is divided into four parts. The Book Discussion section allows users to post recommendations and discussions of books. Feedback allows anonymous posting of writing samples and comments for those who want candid opinions of their work. The Writing Life is for discussions of the publishing business, how to approach agents, tips on writing, and a specific place for writers to discuss the craft itself. The General section has areas for announcements of events such as upcoming appearances or publications, a suggestion box for what community members would like to see added to the website, member introductions, an area to discuss the current feature article, and a general section where anything goes.
3. Links to the websites of our favorite writers and bookshops.
4. A calendar of writing-related events, such as conferences, author appearances, and so on, and a form for community members to contribute events to this calendar.
CrimeOnline.Net is a community where members are encouraged to contribute content and ideas for interesting and informative additions to the site. Please look around, then sign up for the forum and express yourself!
